Sizing may vary by style. Always use the size information on the individual product page before choosing your size.

How to Find Your Size

  1. Open the product page for the style you want.
  2. Review the size options shown for that product.
  3. Open Size Guide to see that style’s chart, when provided, or its available size labels.
  4. Take your measurements before ordering. Compare them with that style’s chart when measurements are provided.
  5. If you are unsure, contact HersCouture before placing your order.

Use a soft, flexible tape. Stand upright and relaxed in underwear or close-fitting clothing. Ask someone to help if needed.

How to Measure Bust

Pass the tape around the fullest part of your bust, keeping it level all the way around.

How to Measure Waist

Measure around the narrowest point of your waist, usually just above your belly button.

How to Measure Hips

Measure around the fullest part of your hips with the tape held level.

Understanding Product Size Guides

Some styles have a product-specific measurement chart. Others currently provide size labels only. For those styles, use the options shown on the product page and contact us if you need help choosing.

Charts can differ between styles. A label such as XS, XL, 1XL or 8Y does not mean the measurements are identical across products.

Body measurements and garment measurements are different

Body measurements describe the person. Garment measurements describe the clothing itself. Before comparing a number with your bust, waist or hips, check which kind of measurement the product chart provides. A flat width and a full circumference are also different measurements. Do not assume what an unlabeled column means or calculate a size from it without clarification.

Read the units before comparing the numbers

Keep your measurements and the chart in the same unit. One inch equals 2.54 cm, but displayed values may be rounded. Converting a number does not convert a size label, establish stretch or identify whether a chart measures the body or the garment. Use the definitions and units on that product's own chart; if a measurement is missing, do not borrow it from another style.

Check what a product's length field measures

“Length” can refer to a garment measurement with a particular starting point. It is not automatically the same as a body hollow-to-floor measurement. Check the product's instructions for the starting and ending points; a diagram or an explicit definition is more useful than assuming. If none is given, ask before using the number to judge hem position.
